One Year... Nothing to show for it.

The short of it is... I'm broke!

You might ask how?

Well, I did end up selling that iPhone for a little over the $250 I bought it for. It was a process to say the least.
So after that I was sitting on about $283 and some change, looking for the next thing to purchase.

And then...

I came on hard times and needed some money right away.

Playing around with money for a social and business experiment is fun when you have the resources. But when you dont...

Well let's just say it's hard to justify not eating so that I could keep this blog going.

Needless to say I spent the $283 and never really recovered enough savings to pick up where I left off.

It was a fun run.

I learned a lot.

Who knows... I might even try it again someday.

But, for now I'll just leave it where it's at.

Broke!

Thanks for the support and curiosity!

Slow: eBay Transaction in Process...

So I've sold the iPhone after two failed auctions.
I would get through an entire an auction and then the winner would tell me they're from like Russia!

Anyway now I've sold it!
But I'm learning even that's a slow process.
In this case I have to wait until the Phone gets to New Jersey.
Then, eBay is saying I won't get my money till April 9th!
Then I have to transfer it to my bank account, which will take another 2-3 days!

Hmmm I'm gonna have to reconsider this eBay thing.
I need something with a quicker turn around.

Revived!

After a month of sitting on a risky purchase that didn't work out I'm finally back!
I just bought an iPhone 4 for $250.

I'm trying something that has worked for me in the past.
I buy on Craigslist then sell on eBay.
It appears that buyers on eBay are willing to pay more for high end electronic smartphones than people are selling locally through craigslist.

Let's see how this works.

FINALLY SOLD!!

I have finally sold the Asian Table!!!
I sat on that thing for 35 days!
Way too long!

I took a risk and it didn't pay off.

So what did it pay?
$250.
I paid $220.
That makes a profit of $30 or 13.6%.

Lame!
Live and let learn.

Now it is time to look for what is next!
Ideas?

Risk!

Well, I've gone all in this time!
That beautiful oriental chest above...
I just payed $220 for it.
That's everything I have!
We'll see how it fairs in re-sale.
It should do well given that it's hand painted and from Singapore.

That's the nature of the game.
Take some risks!
