Money Grows on Trees

I went on by the Dollar Tree to find something to spend my gold dollar on.
I had a buyer in mind so I purchased 6 coat hangers for $1.07.
I had previously sold one Tootsie Roll for $0.25.
So, that left me with $0.18, and after losing one of my Tootsie Rolls that's all I have!
Don't lose merchandise!!

I'm Stuck To Her!

Tonight I was able to find a glue buyer!
There may have been a conflict of interest in the purchase...
My girlfriend decided to purchase the glue to satiate her glueing desires!
Two glue sticks and a bottle of glue sold for a grand total of $1.00
With a $0.21 purchasing price that makes a 476.2% profit!
I now have $1.04.

The Quarter

After my last sale I'm still left with this one quarter.
It's a rather nice quarter. 2011 Glacier National Park Quarter.
What should I do with it?
I'm thinking I might go the Tootsie Roll route again and see how many $.25 Tootsie Rolls I can sell.

First Purchase!

I have just made my first purchase!
I just purchased this Tootsie Roll from the Candy Shop in the old student union at UNC Charlotte.
Oddly enough they sell Tootsie Rolls individually and they are $.02 a piece. Who would've guessed.
Now who can I get to buy one Tootsie Roll for more than $.02? How much can I make?

The Two Pennies!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present... the two pennies that will start it all.

Rules

You may be wondering what is going on? What is the point of this site?
The idea came from a desire to test just how far the lowest monetary unit could actually go.
I want to know how much effort it will take to turn two pennies into, well... more than just two pennies. Not to mention the thought of this being super successful is definitively attractive.

It's really nothing more than buying and selling.
I start with two pennies.
With the two pennies I will purchase my first item.
I then must sell that item for a higher price to make a profit or return on investment (ROI). My ROI's will be marked with each sell from each purchase.
I am only allowed to use the money that comes from the two pennies. I cannot stimulate my purchasing account.
I only have a year from the first purchase.

That being said, I will blog every time I make a purchase and consequently every time I sell that purchase.

Thats the game, those are the rules.

You can help by following and commenting on my purchases and sell price. Also, if you have ideas about what I should purchase next, those are welcomed comments as well.

Let the fun begin.
